Fitna – Reaktionen der arabischen Blogosphäre

28Mar08

00:08 Uhr, 28-03-2008: Islam or Islamic Ideology, which one is the problem Mr. Wilders? @ Kamangir von Arash Abadpour, Iran / Canada:

I am not a Muslim. Having said that, this video is not about Islam. Islam, like Christianity, Judaism, and other schools of thought, does not kill. Nor does it stone, amputate, or circumcise women. All this is carried out by a beast named man, one of whose most developed talents is to find phony justifications for his/her horrible actions. (mehr lesen)

00:58 Uhr, 28-03-2008: Geert Wilders’ Fitna – A review @ a bengali in TO von Mezba M., Canada / Indien:

It was as if a high school neocon googled “10 controversial verses of the Quran” and made a flash presentation of the verses, interspersed with images and news footage of 9/11, van Gogh murder and so on. Honestly, a high school student could have produced a better Islam-critical animation. (mehr lesen)

15:00 Uhr, 28-03-2008: “Fitna” Reaction @ Outsider on the Inside von Karim Assir, Ägypten / Libanon / Europa:

Let’s face it, the film was boring. It didn’t live up to its hype. However now that it seems the initial reaction to the film was one of relief, it may very well shine the spotlight on Wilders’ argument. It is an argument that I do not believe can stand much scrutiny if considered honestly, and one that is not easily proven by a 15 minute film. (mehr lesen)

15:45 Uhr, 28-03-2008: About Fitna: Explaining Geert Wilders to the world @ Menassat von Nicolien Zuijdgeest, Niederlande:

In an effort to explain to the world who Geert Wilders is, and why the Dutch government cannot forbid him from releasing his anti-Islam movie, Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) has produced a film of its own, “About Fitna, The Movie.” MENASSAT spoke with Mohammed Abdulhamid Abdulrahman, the editor in chief of RNW’s Arabic service, and acting editor in chief Wim Jansen, a few days before Wilders’ movie was released. 16:43 Uhr, 28-03-2008: Fitna, much ado about nothing? @ Menassat von Amira Al-Tahawy, Alexandra Sandels, Rita Barotta, Gert Van Longendonck, Ägypten, Libanon, Niederlande:

Perhaps the worst thing the Muslim world could to Geert Wilders and his anti-Islam movie, Fitna, is to simply ignore him and it.

That seemed to be the main reaction to the early release of Fitna, the movie. (mehr lesen)

21:03 Uhr, 29-03-2008: Open Letter to ‘Fitna’ Maker @ The Sudanese Thinker von Drima, Sudan / USA:

I’m disappointed. Hype… so much of it, and all we got was some boring so-called film that did the usual de-contextualized cherry-picking from the Koran and showed video portions of the very Muslim lunatics who do the same shit for the sake of preaching their politically-motivated heinous garbage. (mehr lesen)

08:03 Uhr, 01-04-2008: Fitna the Movie and My Reaction @ Mideast Youth von D.B. Shobrawy, Ägypten:

Before the hype could completely boil over I found a sneaky little site for persistent individuals like my self and downloaded the controversial “film” Fitna. From what I understand religious police in Saudi Arabia have been alerted to my treachery, my IP address and identity have been sent out and will be forwarded to the first available blood thirsty jihadist response team… (mehr lesen)

17:10 Uhr, 02-04-2008: A Responsible Response to Geert Wilders @ Mony Eltahawy Blog von Mona Eltahawy, Ägypten / USA:

It’s not breaking news that Muslim radicals have abused the Quran to justify their violence. Just like Wilders, they cherry-pick their verses from the Muslim holy book to make their bloody point. (mehr lesen)

07:11 Uhr, 03-04-2008: Fitna: The Movie that “defames” the “Image” of Islam @ Justice for All von Ibn Abdel Aziz, Ägypten:

I have watched parts of the new movie “Fitna”, and i have to confess that it bothered me a bit, yet it seems to me that the film’s argument is based on “the perceived interpretation of Islam” which some Islamic groups and institutions had worked hard to propagate for decades. The “image if Islam” this movie is painting is not coming out of no where, on the contrary, it has its own roots in reality. (mehr lesen)

14:16 Uhr, 03-04-2008: The poor man who stood against a world @ Mideast Youth von Lord Kavi, Iran:

Poor Geert Wilders, have you ever thought about the results and reactions of your movie? I explain them.
These attemps have no results but inducing Islam world hatred and opposition against what you may call freedom of speech. These acts will strong Islam world and stick them all to their belief stronger than before. (mehr lesen)

15:40 Uhr, 05-04-2008: Schism (The Bible version of Fitna) @ Mideast Youth von Esra’a Al-Shafei, Bahrain:

Now that many Islamophobes expressed their opinions (both within this site and elsewhere), and mocked Muslims for their beliefs, I was made aware of this video by Muneeb and I’m wondering what the Christians (or non-Christian Islamophobes) think about this. I’m specifically referring to the many Christians who felt that violence in any religion is incomparable to Islam, and that Muslims are indeed Satanic.
